Effective date: 2026-01-11
Last updated: 2026-01-11
By inviting or using Moderation+ (“the Bot”) in a Discord server, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Bot.
1. About Moderation+
Moderation+ is an open-source Discord moderation and automation bot developed and maintained by an independent developer.
The Bot is provided to help server administrators manage moderation, roles, logs, and automation features in a single, central system.
Moderation+ is not affiliated with Discord Inc.
2. Eligibility and authority
By inviting Moderation+ to a Discord server, you confirm that:
- You have permission to manage the server, or
- You have been authorised by the server owner or administrators to add and configure the Bot
You are responsible for how the Bot is configured and used within your server.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Moderation+ to:
- Violate Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
- Harass, abuse, or unlawfully target individuals or groups
- Circumvent moderation safeguards or platform restrictions
- Engage in illegal activity using the Bot
Server administrators are responsible for ensuring that their moderation practices comply with applicable laws and Discord’s policies.
4. Bot functionality and availability
Moderation+ is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.
We do not guarantee that the Bot will:
- Be online at all times
- Be error-free
- Meet the specific needs of any particular server
Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time as part of ongoing development.
5. Data and privacy
Moderation+ processes and stores limited data necessary to provide its functionality, primarily server configuration and moderation-related records.
Details about data handling are explained in the Privacy Policy.
By using the Bot, you acknowledge and agree to the data practices described in that policy.
6. Moderation responsibility
Moderation actions taken using Moderation+ (such as warnings, timeouts, role changes, or message removals) are initiated by server moderators or administrators.
We are not responsible for:
- How moderation decisions are made
- Disputes between server members and moderators
- Actions taken by server staff using the Bot
7. Donations and monetization
Moderation+ may accept optional donations to support development and hosting costs.
Donations:
- Are voluntary
- Do not grant special access, guarantees, or priority support
- Are not refundable
The Bot may introduce additional monetization options in the future, but use of the core functionality is not dependent on donations.
8. Support
Support may be provided on a best-effort basis but is not guaranteed.
There is no service-level agreement (SLA), response-time guarantee, or obligation to provide ongoing support.
9. Termination and removal
We reserve the right to:
- Remove Moderation+ from any server
- Restrict access to features
- Discontinue the Bot entirely
This may occur without prior notice, particularly in cases of abuse, misuse, or legal risk.
Server administrators may remove the Bot from their server at any time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We are not liable for loss of data, loss of access, or server disruptions
- Use of the Bot is at your own risk
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is not permitted by law.
11. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time.
When changes are made, the “Last updated” date at the top of this document will be revised.
Continued use of the Bot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
